We are delighted to announce that our project ‘TOY for Inclusion’ has been Awarded the Lifelong Learning Award 2018 for the category ‘learning environments’. The prize is awarded by the Lifelong Learning Platform to initiatives that set up creative and inclusive practices.
With our eight ECEC Play Hubs in seven EU countries, we are creating an innovative, inclusing practice and we are becoming an example for others. In our Play Hubs relationships between young children and families from all backgrounds are built. They are inclusive spaces where:
• children can borrow toys and educational materials to bring home;
• children and adults of all ages are welcomed to meet, spend time together and play games with each other;
• parents, grandparents and practitioners can informally access information about childrearing, health, early learning and development.
The TOY for Inclusion Play Hubs are the gateway to kindergarten and school for children of all backgrounds!
