Anne Fitzpatrick and Carmel Gallagher presented a paper at the Early Childhood Ireland (ECI) Research and Practice Seminar in University College Dublin (UCD) on 31st March 2017.
The paper titled ‘Intergenerational learning in early years and elder care settings’ presented findings from a small-scale Irish study on Intergenerational Learning (IGL) in early years and elder care settings with a focus on pedagogies and sustainability .
The conference was an opportunity to disseminate information about the TOY-PLUS project funded by Erasmus+. TOY-PLUS (2016-2018) is developing a blended learning curriculum and MOOC to provide training for practitioners who wish to promote IGL in early childhood education and elder care settings.
Practitioners will be recruited to participate in the pilot training programme scheduled for early 2018.
